Go Yellow at work

Going Yellow at work is simple, and you can be as creative as you like!

  • Ask your colleagues to wear a yellow item of clothing to work or while working from home
  • Plan other yellow-themed activities for the day - turn your social media yellow for the day, host a lunchtime yellow-themed quiz or hold an office bake sale with yellow cupcakes - the opportunities are endless!
  • Fundraise or make a donation to Shine

You can either make a company donation or ask your colleagues to donate. Create a JustGiving page to easily collect donations online.

Need a little inspiration?

Victoria Dental Care staff wore yellow and decorated the surgery with yellow balloons, while Fat Sam's Bar and Grill created a special yellow cocktail for a fundraising day, with all proceeds going to Shine!

Inspired? Here are some more fundraising ideas to make your Go Yellow for Shine day more fun:

  • Working from home? All wearing yellow is a good way for your colleagues to feel connected, while apart.
  • To collect donations online, set up a JustGiving page. It is easy to share with your colleagues by email and all donations are paid directly to Shine.
  • Why not add some fun to the day by decorating the office yellow, you could ask colleagues to bake something yellow to sell, or hold a virtual or in-person team building lunch where you can only eat yellow foods!
  • Share your photo on social media tagging @ShineUKCharity and using #GoYellowForShine. You could also nominate your friends and family to do the same!
  • Ask if your company's social media accounts can be turned yellow for the day?

For more ideas and ways to boost your fundraising, access a digital fundraising pack containing information about Shine, more fundraising ideas and printable materials such as a poster.

After you have downloaded your pack, you'll be contacted by your regional fundraiser who will offer support and ideas to make the most of your Go Yellow day.
